Crowest has a way of combining quite complex personal art theory with playful and welcoming imagery. To describe her work in a nutshell I would say 'you might not get it, but you'll get it'. The amazing Melanie Katsalidis, better known as director of Pieces of Eight Gallery is a fantastic jeweller in her own rite. She has recently collaborated with fashion uberstars Apha 60 to create a new range of work for the Melbourne Fashion Festival's cultural program. Featuring Australian opals set in 'primary forms' (circles, square, triangle, diamond) the work can be viewed at the very glamorous digs of Pieces of Eight.
