WE BOUGHT IT OURSELVES

take out

Due to impending deadlines and an empty pantry this weeks staff breakfast came courtesy of Ramona's corner cafe... a banana muffin and flat white for Ramona (the closest she's ever getting to fruit) and a bran and berry muffin and soy latte for Beck (bloody hippy)

As usual the hml mascot kept a close eye on the take out while we took the photo, needless to say even with these slim pickin's he managed to do ok.

Lucky that latte was clearly labelled, Ramona.

I'd rather chew off one of my feet than drink a soy latte.

hooray I am not alone in my distaste of the watery whitebeany milk. Actually i don't mind it in chai - but lets face it when I'm drinking chai I'm in a whole other headspace. Soy just completely changes the character of coffee making it a whole other drink (one that I don't like at all!)but I am also blessed with what Beck calls 'iron guts' and can pretty much eat or drink anything (on occasion to my own detriment ha ha). I am terribly flawed tho - I HATE water and I HATE fruit - I have been known to go months without drinking water and have been known to not eat a cake simply because the fruit ratio was too high. which is lame I know...

listen ladies, while I applaud and support your right to your own opinion there is nothing whatsoever wrong with bean on bean action...
And yes it is another tamale altogether and yes my italian inlaws will never understand me but in truth I actually prefer it that way and would rather do it black than taint it with cow juice but it can only be vitasoy, and it needs to be strong coffee - you have probably both had bad soy experiences and think they are all the same, and as a very fussy foody ex-vegan I can assure you that they are not.
And dont think that i'm just anti dairy - cream and cheese are a whole other story, although unlike ironguts bazwah I suffer for my intake.
And yes before you say anything I also like tofu, mung beans and brown rice... but i'm not a hippy i'm a high-camp metal head who happens to be a vegetarian.

not that i have a chip on my shoulder about it.

that chip of course would be one of those fluffy tofu crisps with seaweed and a kick of wasabi.......

Thanks all for the great feedback a la our winter log cabin makeover. We too are enjoying our very high hair-do's.
As for the barney in the staffroom, remember peeps there is plenty of room on the fridge door for a variety of coffee altering liquids - peace.
