WE (kind of) DREW IT OURSELVES
ok so yesterday we promised you all a drawing for this weeks illustration friday theme 'match'... and clearly this is not a drawing. We apologise, really.
At least we managed to get this in as the inaugral handmade life entry on the IF website.
And we agree that our entry is pretty literal, but we also think it's literally pretty, and it would be such a waste to have developed a stuffed fabric font and not use it, wouldn't it?

shula was that you making homer simpson noises? har har. These were a nightmare to make but now we have them we love them to bits! And how funny do they look making words? We had fun yesterday making rude words out of stuffed letters -small things amuse small minds!
there's nothing like bringing the 11 year old boy out in you is there?
I think that by the end of the photo shoot we'd ended up making more rude words (chortle) than regular ones... surprise surprise
You know, they say 'match' and they do match..oh the layers of meaning :D
these are great!
(I’m no expert in stuffed fabric fonts but these don’t seem particularly easy to make. Mighty effort and such fun result :)
it was me with the Homer thing... I confess. Amazing the sounds you can make in print when you don't try too hard. I really do have such a thing for fonts, and fabric, the combination of the two is almost too much for me to bear.
Lucky I wasn't there when you were making words. Brings out the very, very worst in me. The jig truly would be up.... my friend Sarah and I can clear rooms with this sort of thing.
Wow! I really love those letters. The stitching on those looks really hard to get them to come out looking so perfect. Great job!
